Press Release: Reustle Promotes Wade Smith to Associate Winemaker

January 13, 2017

Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards is pleased to announce Wade Smith has been promoted to Associate Winemaker. For the last four years, he has worked as the Assistant Winemaker under Stephen M. Reustle. According to Reustle.....

Any good businessman looks to the future. In the winemaking industry, looking to the future involves mentoring the next generation of winemakers  thus ensuring the winery continues to produce wines consistent with the vision and values of the founder. In our case, I am blessed to have Wade working with me. He is instrumental in my decision-making process and I have come to rely on his skills on a daily basis. It is only appropriate that his title reflects his value to me and the organization. As my Associate Winemaker, Wade works WITH me rather than UNDER me, and I am confident in his ability to work beside me co-creating the award-winning wines our customers have come to expect from Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards.

While not looking to retire anytime soon, Owner/Winemaker Stephen M. Reustle is preparing for the day when he can step aside, pass the winemaking baton to the next generation, and watch them mentor a subsequent generation - ensuring the Reustle winemaking ideology continues for generations.
